Ms. Abbe Jolles is a Washington, DC-based International Human Rights litigator and is Of Counsel to Poblete Tamargo LLP.  Through her firm, AJ Global Legal she provides representation worldwide, including conflict zones. She handles individual, corporate, criminal, and civil matters involving unlawful property confiscation, incarceration or risk of incarceration, and other human rights violations, including immigration and global migration.

Abbe was the first American woman admitted to the International Criminal Court, and the first American admitted to the African Court on Human and People’s Rights. Abbe is admitted to the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (UNICTR), where she achieved a landmark decision. She is also admitted to the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) where she served on the Discipline Council, Special Court of Sierra Leone (SCSL) and Special Tribunal of Lebanon (STL).

She represents those in workplace disputes worldwide, including before the United Nations Dispute and Appeals Tribunals, (UNDT, UNAT) New York, Nairobi, and Geneva. She handles immigration matters both inside and outside of the United States, including investor (EB-5) visas and acts as a human rights advisor to global corporations protecting the vulnerable around the world.

In addition, she advises the US House and Senate on vital human rights issues including extradition and international organization corruption. She represents witnesses and testifies as a human rights expert. Abbe attended Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio, London School of Economics, London, England and the University of Oregon School of Law in Eugene, Oregon. She is admitted to the Washington, DC Bar. She speaks French and English.
