This Friday, March 11, 2011 at 5:15 (ET), Poblete Tamargo Member Jason Poblete will be interviewed on The Howard Keating Show. Poblete will discuss how small and medium-sized companies can “Find their Voice in Washington, DC”.

PT Law Member Mauricio Tamargo was interviewed in December 2010 by the South Florida Business Review about a developer who wants to use the trafficking provisions of the Cuban Liberty and Solidarity Act of 1996 (also known as the Helms-Burton law) to defend against a foreclosure action brought by a Canadian company. Jason Poblete was a guest this afternoon on the Ralph Bailey Show on Bakersfield’s KNZR 1560. Hosted this week by Cathy Abernathy, Jason discussed Washington, DC public policy and politics, as well as border security and related political developments in the Western Hemisphere that impact US security.

 

The Florida International University (FIU) Alumni Association and Poblete Tamargo, LLP, hosted a gathering at the University Club in Washington, DC welcoming the South Florida Congressional delegation to the 112th Congress and honored FIU alumna Ileana Ros-Lehtinen ’75, ’87 on her appointment as chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs.

CNN Español interviewed Poblete Tamargo Member Jason Poblete in Washington, DC this afternoon about the mid-term Congressional elections and recent poll data suggesting that there could be a shift in Congressional control. 

Poblete discussed how these changes could impact policymaking and related matters, but stressed that it was too soon in the process to make definitive conclusions about election outcomes (video).
