Cara E. Di Silvio works as a Legal Assistant with clients, attorneys, and consultants to ensure effectiveness of representation by developing case information, tracking cases as well as providing secretarial and administrative support to our legal team.
Cara assists with extensive research duties including investigating facts of cases, ensuring accuracy of data, supportive materials, and preparing necessary documentation for the attorneys.
In additional to assisting attorneys with federal policymaking and rule making projects, Cara has worked on immigration cases, FOIA applications, FEC Compliance, international claims due diligence, as well as economic sanctions and export controls compliance.
With an eye for social media and web-based projects, Cara works with vendors to ensure the firm's online presence on various social media channels. She also helps distill complex legal and policy matters into formats that are more widely accessible and understandable to wider audiences.
Prior to joining Poblete Tamargo, she worked with the American's For Prosperity Foundation on its “Hands off my Healthcare” campaign and increasing grassroots education on economic policy, developing campaigning skills via event management, training and mobilization of voters.
Previous work experience also includes Capital Pension Services, Inc. where she was responsible for maintaining financial databases and corresponded with financial crisis institutions and retirement plan clients
Cara has an interest in healthcare and international medicine. While in college, Cara traveled to Lima, Peru on a medical mission trip. Working alongside native doctors, she helped develop medical clinics at four locations with local churches and hospitals.
Cara is a graduate of Virginia Tech's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Food and Exercise concentrating in Science.
